Our American Bishops describe young people as protagonists in the Church and within their communities, schools, and society at large. Young people often hear themselves described as being the future, but they are also the now of God. They are influencing and impacting the Church and the world today.

Saint Patrick Parish encourages young people to seek to change the world today. As a youth ministry, we seek to supplement the catechesis they may receive at school, in faith formation classes, and in the home with spiritual formation to help them own their faith and build a trusted community with their peers!

Who do we serve?

Our youth ministry serves youth in 5th– 12th grade. Middle schoolers and high schoolers meet on separate days, with occasional “whole group” events. No matter where you are on your faith journey, we welcome you!

What do we do?

The goal of youth ministry is to help our students encounter Jesus and build a real and lasting relationship with Him through authentic friendship, prayer, sacraments, and service. Students will have opportunities not only to attend our youth ministry gatherings and fun events, but also to attend retreats, conferences, mission trips, and service experiences that draw them closer to our Lord and His Church and equip them to share their faith with others! Meeting topics and content will vary throughout the year, but we seek to help students experience community, joy, and ultimately Jesus through all we do. Youth should expect fun games/sports, meals, opportunities to dive into scripture with their peers, and discussions about faith, real-world issues, and what’s going on in their own lives.

When do we meet?

Our middle school kickoff is on Sunday, September 13th from 12:00-2:00 PM. We will meet at the Social Hall for lunch and head out to the field for messy games! Regular meeting times are every other Sunday from 12:00-1:30 PM, after the 11:00 AM Mass. (Mass attendance at that time is not required to attend youth group.) Please see the full year YM schedule for specific dates.

Our high school kickoff is on Wednesday, September 16th from 6:00-7:30 PM in our St. Patrick Social Hall! Regular meeting times are every other Wednesday of the month at the same time. Please see the full year YM schedule for specific dates.
